I must admit, I’m envious. Basel is not only steeped in history, but its landscapes and architecture are extraordinary to witness firsthand.

Moreover, its proximity to France and Germany means you can explore three European countries in just an hour.

What to Expect at WordCamp Europe in 2025

This year, WordCamp Europe promises engaging talks and experiences for attendees. Another reason I’m a bit jealous of my colleagues visiting this remarkable place.

While attending WordCamp, take time to explore Basel’s attractions. With centuries of recorded history, it offers a variety of intriguing spots for explorers.

What piques my interest?

  • Walking tours of the Old Town: Situated on the historic Rhine River, Basel offers affordable walking tours through the city’s most captivating areas. I’d love photos of the riverside buildings.
  • Visiting blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Basler Münster: A renowned site in Basel, the Basler Münster, a former episcopal church, began construction in 1019 and has witnessed significant historical events.
  • blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Basel Exhibition Centre: Though newer than other historical sites, this exhibition center features impressive craftsmanship. Its circular design viewed from the ground is mesmerizing.
